Hi, I read here: http://trolls.troll.no/~lars/fonts/qt-fonts-HOWTO.html that to use AntiAliasing with KDE I need to have a version of XFree86 with freetype2 compiled in. Specifically, it says: "Also check if /usr/X11R6/lib/libXft.so.1.0 links to freetype. You can do this by running 'ldd libXft.so.1.0' and checking if the output contains the freetype library. If not, you probably did not have freetype installed when you compiled XFree, did not include the path to freetype in your xc/config/cf/host.conf directory (in the XFree sources) or used a binary package that does not have Xft support compiled in." So, does the SuSE XFree86 in ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/X/XFree86/XFree86-4.0.3-SuSE/ compile in freetype2 ? If not, do I need to compile XFree86 myself before I can successfully set AntiAliasing=True in ~/.kde2/share/config/kdeglobals ? If I do so right now, I get no panel in KDE 2.1.1 Will freetype2 be compiled into future versions of the XFree86 RPMs? Thanks
