Hi, I have two questions concerning 'YOU': 1 - How can I update crypto software (ftp.suse.de/pub/suse/i386/update/7.1/sec*) using YOU? Those packages (eg.: openssh, mod_ssl, etc) are not listed when I start YOU. I also tried to set the instalation-source to ftp.suse.de and it didn't work either. I notice that those packages are not listed neither in ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.1/patches/* nor in ftp://ftp.suse.de/pub/suse/i386/update/7.1/patches/* = 2 - Is there something similar to YOU in Yast1? Most boxes that I install are internet servers, therefore I don't install any graphic packages at all in those boxes. I know I can do it with YaST1 under the menu "Choose/Install packages" -> "Install packages" and then enter the FTP server and directory, however that's an interactive procedure, you have to browse throghout the directory tree and select the packages manualy, it's a very time consuming task. It would be nice to have an automatic way to do it in YaST1 as it is in YOU. And last, it's very confusing the way that SuSE mantains their FTP servers. Today I was browsing for packages updates and found out that the openssh package under the _updates_ directory ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/7.1/sec1 (openssh-2.3.0p1-5) is more _out of date_ than the one in the regular download directory ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/7.1/suse/sec1/ (openssh-2.5.1p1-9) :( Also, the packages on the regular FTP directory don't have the version indication neither in it's name nor in the index file, therefore you have to download the file just to check the version number and find out wich one is newer, the one in the regular FTP directory or the other in the updates directory. At a minimum this is annoying. I think that SuSE should consider including the version number in their packages names, just as any other distributions do. Regards, Bráulio Gergull GetNet Comunicações
