Hey, I've seen people ask this before but now I can't find it in the archives: My logs are full of messages like the following: Apr 19 16:20:32 eqr001 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-11 Apr 19 16:20:32 eqr001 last message repeated 15 times Apr 19 16:20:32 eqr001 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-9 Apr 19 16:20:32 eqr001 modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module char-major-9 What is modprobe talking about ? And how do I get rid of them? Probably commenting something out of /etc/modules.conf will do it, but then why is it in module.conf in the first place - surely it's supposed to do something? ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com
