To whom it may concern : I'm running a stock 2.4.3 kernel compiled with gcc-2.5.3. No problem (after 24 hours). So it seems that the new gcc (rpm downloaded from pthomas homedir) is perfectly usable. Execs are 5% to 25% smaller..
2.95.3 is a very good release with a _lot_ of bugs fixed. I've been compiling 1-2 kernels a day with that compiler since it was released, and it always works. -- Mads Martin Joergensen, http://mmj.dk "Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little bit more effort." -- A.
