Hm, I have no special patch in the packages and I tested them on several architectures (i386, axp, ppc, s390). Which package exactly did you tried ?
This is the SuSE RPM build of Friday, 20 April, posted at: http://suse.com/en/support/download/LinuKS/i386/update_for_7_1/base.html All base packages were installed first with Yast1. I then installed the applications and Languages afterwards. I am running SuSE 7.1 Professional on i686.
Which KDE packages are installed ?
I installed all the packages at: http://suse.com/en/support/download/LinuKS/i386/update_for_7_1/extra.html I found that Noatun was disabled so I reinstalled Kmultimedia from 8 April and it worked again. Here is an excerpt from one of the SuSE users about the sources: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I downloaded all of kde2.1.1 (src; stable) from ftp.kde.org. Then I compiled all in the right order (apart from koffice all works fine.) I think I will abandon that and install the SuSE rpms. Thanks again for your help. Armin +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Maybe some vestige of the old KDE2.0.1 is causing problems? -- Cheers, Jonathan
