I've just made a brand-new installation of 7.1 on 3 computers, and none of them are reading ~/.bashrc on startup. Does anyone know why not, and what I need to do to fix this?
Am I supported to put user's environment variables somewhere besides ~/.bashrc ?
I'm not a bash user, but how about using .profile instead?
I figured it out. The main problem is I didn't have a .profile in root's home, and *sigh* I misspelled .bashrc in the user home dir (duh). ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com
