By the way this is happening on SuSE 7.1/2.4.0. -jpg
Hey Gang,
When I reconfigured my XF86Config file to only run 8 bit mode the users lose KDE2 as their default window manager and get fvwm in its place. However root still gets KDE2 at 8 bpp.
The default window manager in yast is kde.
I then removed fvwm from the system via yast and now they get the old 2 Xterminals and an analog clock, basically no window manager.
If I then switch back to 24 bpp, all users then get kde2 back as their window manager.
I checked the users '~/.xsession-errors` and '/var/log/XFree86.0.log' files before and after starting the X server. No errors in these files.
Any clues????
