Thank you for replying. After reading the Keyboard HOWTO, I manually edited /etc/rc.config to remove the KEYTABLE value. It was "de-latin1-nodeadkeys". Now it says 'KEYTABLE=""' (Nothing between double quotes). This seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks for your help. -Kevin Zembower

Try running yast (dont worry if you get a 'z' when you press 'y', zast is a link to yast). Go into "Installation settings"->"Select keymap" and try selecting the qwerty/us keymap again.
