HI I had the same problem of the system stopping or slowing down. It seems that the MB driver for the VIA chip was imperfect for my board ASUS KT7-R with the VIA chipset. I downloaded the latest VIA4in1 patch and these stoppages have quit. You can get the drivers at : http://www.viatech.com/ Good luck, hope this helps Doug Roberts dgr@sk.sympatico.ca -----------------------------------------------------------------
I have installed SuSE 7.0 on the following system:
AMD Athlon 1.2ghz 384 mb RAM MSI Pro motherboard Winfast 3D S325 Video Card (RIVA TNT2 M64) 40 Gb HD Matrox ATA 100 Soundblaster Live Sound card IIyama 17" monitor

What is the problem? When ever I'm doing more than one task the system slows down and or hangs temporarily. What could be the problem with my system? As far as I know everything else works perfectly.
Regards,
Jay
