I just installed the latest bersion of openssh and I have some problems logging in. I can login using telnet but when I try logging in using ssh I get permission denied after I type the password. Any ideas why I cant login? I even tried using my old /etc/ssh/sshd_config file but still it doesnt allow me to login.
Areyou trying to login as root? By default that is disabled. Try logging in as a user, then typing su - to get root. - -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE6zJ+c+FOexA3koIgRAv+QAJ0SO6U08ufHlV37+TmmcocZR0QHDACfUiCA jGu/nk7vvi/YU0Hl7mnQ+jM= =CB/e -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
