Hi everyone, As I said a few weeks ago, I am looking for a nice replacement for UltraEdit for Windows in Linux. Someone recommended GLIMMER (a GTK+ app), however unfortunately, I can't seem to install the package or compile it. It only has a RedHat RPM, but the file it looks for is the same file it looks for if I try to manually compile it (libpython2.0.so.0.0). I have python installed, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it to find libpython2.0.so.0.0.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Tim
Glimmer doesn not like Python 2.0 at all. In order to get it to compile or run it you must first remove python 2.0 package and then install python 1.5 that comes with Suse 7.0 - also available from their ftp.suse.com site. Cheers, --jq
