Hi Tim:
First check to see that Load "GLX" is in your modules section of /etc/X11/XF86Config. If that is there look at /var/log/XFree86.0.log and see if there are any entries prefixed with (EE) or (WW). This should give a clue. If the remarks in /var/log/XFree86.0.log are too cryptic cut and past the (EE) section(s) to an e-mail and send it to the list. I myself am not an X expert but I hope this helps.

I get an error when I start X that puzzles me. it is:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
I get the same error when I run some screensaver graphics. I don't really know much about it other than to reinstall xf86_glx (which didn't help). Does anyone else know about a fix for this?

Naturally, it disappeared as quickly as it appeared. My XFree86 logs are pretty much junked up by icons not found right now, so I'll wait until I fix the icon problem and look at it again tomorrow. Between 7.0 and 7.1 SuSE completely changed its icon locations, which broke .fvwm2rc. -- Overflow on /dev/null, please empty the bit bucket.
