Hi List, I got my 7.1 upgrade version yesterday. Unfortunately, the upgrade isn't as smooth as I had hoped. I am trying to do this with the DVD which brings yast2 up by default. Then, it can't mount my / partition. When I go into new install mode I can see the partitions as being all there (/dev/hda3 is / and /dev/hda1 is /boot). Could this be caused by the fact that my / partition is reiser? I suppose the kernel that is first started from the CD needs to have reiserFS capabilities compiled in. Is that the case or not? If it is, I am at a loss to explain my inability to simply update from 7.0 to 7.1. Of course I could do a fresh install, but am hesitant to do so as it is always a hassle to bring back the old scripts and configuration files. Should I try and boot up with yast1 instead? Any help is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Alex.
