exactly. All you do by local means like lilo and BIOS pwd, locking the case, removing bootable media devices, bolting the PC to the solid brick wall etc. will only enlarge the time to break in. Prevent all simple means of getting access. Even on a "Home Linux PC" such a breakin followed by "rm -rf *" is a bad party joke. Do not make it to easy, listen to the paranoid! Juergen
