Could you enlighten me what was the clue? Was it the alias entry misssing in modules.config or what? I don't have any zip drives now when I am in California, but I am just curious what solved the problem with zip drive. Thanks, -Kastus On Wed, Feb 28, 2001 at 12:22:32AM -0600, Jerry Kreps wrote:
I'm listening to Choose Life by Big_tent_revival while I type this missive to report that my Zip100 is now working! So is OSS sound. FreeAmp plays without skipping but KDE's Kmp2 player skips when you move the mouse too fast. However, the two neurons residing in my skull forgot to include VFAT in the supported file systems and I can't read my M$ based zip disks. Oh, I used a method that was in vogue when 6.0 was current. Thanks to Kastus for clueing me in to a msg on a news group that suggested the solution.
I think I'll just fdisk'm and convert'm to ext2 disks.
I haven't the nerve to test my scanner and printer yet. It's late and I need to go to bed. JLK
