Konqueror is awesome!!!! BTW, if you want to set a 'home page' then you need to edit the filemanger configuration, not the browser configuration. It is especailly good at downloading from ftp sites. Just use a split window, with your local directory in the left panel and the ftp directory in the right. Then select one or more files and or directories and drag them to a directory in the left panel and drop them them. I downloaded the intire 7.0 update of KDE2.01 that way with a single drag and drop. I think something like 300 files came over. The popup progress dialog was well designed in relating how many had been downloaded, how long it took and how many remained and how long that should take. I've found only a few M$ based sites that didn't display well. JLK On Tuesday 27 February 2001 14:26, Matthew wrote:
Downloaded it this morning (which made me 15 minutes late to work hehe). Just had enough time to look at Konqueror...Looks real good thus far. Only thing, I only had 3 icons on the desktop....

Joe, If you don't mind downloading it, official KDE mirrors now have SuSE RPM's. Take a look at ftp.sourceforge.net/pub/mirrors/kde/stable/ . Perhaps YaST2's YOU function in 7.1 could download it for you (I haven't got my copy of 7.1 installed yet)?

Anyone know where to get the latest and final 2.1 release on cdrom?
I checked a few places, all have 2.01. Also, for those with fast connections, the kde site has a place for SuSE, but no rpms yet. Not sure if the redhat rpms will work as well.
