Hi all,
What experiences have people had with the above card (especially the PAL version)? Am I right in thinking that I should just need kernel video4linux support and the bttv kernel module?
Actually, I'm a bit confused... which bttv driver should I use? The seemingly 'official' kernel driver at: http://www.strusel007.de/linux/bttv/ Or the bttv2 driver from: http://bttv-v4l2.sourceforge.net/
What is everyone else using?
I have WinTV card from Hauppage it's the cheaper one I'm not sure what the higher model adds. I have been using it since 7.0 came out last year and now have it working in 7.1. I use USA cable in NTSC mode and the picture is pretty good. I didn't have to do anything special just install the card and click on the program and scan for channels. The bttv must be already setup in the Suse kernel. The sound adjustment from within Kwintv doesn't work, but just click open the Kmix sound prg window and adjust it from there. Also in KDE2 I open the terminal prg and type in kwintv in order to get it to work. I guess it's not fully supported in KDE2 yet.
