Anyone know how to set suse v 7 kernel 2.2.18 to udma 66? When linux boots it says that it's set to udma 33 and says to set idebus= 66 if you want it set it at 66 but where would you do that?
Temporarily, you could try to enter at the lilo prompt: linux idebus=66 see if it works good for you; the utility to check ide drives performance is hdparm (see man hdparm), but the basic info is given by hdparm -tT /dev/hda (ajdust to your device) The enter in /etc/lilo.conf append= "idebus=66" Hope it helps, Alvaro Novo SuSE 6.4 -=- Kernel 2.4.0 -=- KDE 2.1.0-Beta1-0 10:44pm up 5 days, 23:28, 5 users, load average: 0.10, 0.04, 0.01
