I will have to disagree with your professors. I have been using Linksys
products for few years now with no problems at all. This includes hubs,
swithches, Ethernet cards and PCMCIA cards. I have not used this specific
pcmcia card but I did (and still do) use the "EtherFast 10&100 + 56K PC
Card (PCMLM56)".

Has anyone tried the Linksys "10/100 Integrated Etherfast CardBus" network card? It looks like a good deal (just $47), and for that price even is one of the "dongle-less" cards. Does it work well with Linux?
I can't believe it a tech question... Hello Tim, Several of my professors who have been in the Unix/Linux business for *years*, have always told me to stay away from Linksys cards. They mentioned this to me independently of each other. They all agree that there are intermittent problems with TCP/IP and this card. In short, when building networds, they have had problems with it. Thought I would pass it on for what it's worth... Personally, I use 3Comm.

Today's thought: Before you criticize someone walk a mile in his shoes. That way if he gets angry he'll be a mile away -- and barefoot.
