Here is the content of the two files that I think may be relevant. The
name server is a caching only name server installed on one of my machines.
/etc/resolv.conf:
search cfftechnologies.world
nameserver 10.23.20.1
/etc/host.conf:
order hosts, bind
multi on

I wouldn't be surprised if the browsers have the resolver behave differently. What does your /etc/resolv.conf look like?
