Hi all, A lot of noise on the last M$ statements, but let me just ask you this question : Is it normal that your OS+application programs, games etc... costs more than the material it works on ? Continuing my reflexion, if all linux users could retribute only $5 of their M$ applications ( if in use of course ) to the linux developpers community, I am sure we will get all drivers to make things work. Meanwhile, the M$ basis is still the desktop PC which finances the other developments. So I suggest Linux users could set up a Desktop database specifying : OS Processor MB Material file say linux-SUSE say PIII say via say NvidiaMX /etc/X11/.. The file specifying the whole env. and a small setup explication. Each input taking +/- 3kb gzipped, x 100.10^6 = 300 GB ===> +/- 5-7 disks now. That would help a lot the desktop users and maybe break the M$ power. On the other hand by doing this can we be responsible of hundred thousends of lost jobs ? Well, this was only a "I think" Cheers, Filip.
