I need to get Kicq up and running PDQ, don't have time to figure it out... does anyone know what I need to put in /etc/rc.config.d/firewall.rc.config to enable Kicq?
The problem is to do with the UDP connections that ICQ uses, try compiling ip_masq_icq, which you can get from http://members.tripod.com/~djsf/masq-icq/ this is a kernel module that allows ICQ connections through an IP Masquerading firewall. You'll then need to make sure it's listed in the list of Masquerading modules that should be loaded (add 'icq' to FW_MASQ_MODULES) That *should* work, although I've never tried it... ;) Regards James -- James Ogley, Network Manager, SuSE Linux Ltd - +44 (0) 20 8 387 4088 @ Work: ogley@suse.co.uk http://www.suse.co.uk @ Home: james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk @ Mobile: riggwelter@sms.genie.co.uk ICQ: 57374251 Slashdot: riggwelter (84180) asylum-mud.org: Riggwelter "I lift up my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come?"
