hello I neet to mount a Windows NT partition on Linux with right or write and read for linux's users , not only root howto ?
Hi Alfredo, I cannot try it from here, since I lack access to this WinNT thing... with the smbmount command, you give a username and password. This username *must* be existant on the NT machine. At work, I cannot do this trick with my normal domain user name, but as far as I remember it worked with any local user. See smbmount's man page. NAME smbmount - mount an SMB filesystem
SYNOPSIS smbmount service mountpoint [ -o options ] ... as I remember it works like: mbmount //servernam/sharename /mymountouint -o username=ntuser, password=ntpwd,rw do not keep spaces in the options...
Happy new year to all...
