Subject: PCMCIA locks up SuSE 7.0 on a Vaio PGC-F801A
Hi All,
I recently bought a Vaio PGC-F801A and put SuSE 7.0 onto it. Apart from the
sound and modem chips being unsupported (which is ok as they're newish) I have
been getting total lock-ups that the logs say happened after a PCMCIA probe. I
looked in the HOWTO and SuSE SDB, and found the PCMCIA_PCIC_OPTS parameters
"irq_list=5,9,10" and "do_scan=0", but though I've tried both I still get a
total lockup, with the logs reporting a pcmcia scan as the last thing that
happend. Is there another location I could put "do_scan=0" to stop the probe
apart from in rc.config? Or is there something else that I've missed (which is
always a possibility)
Many Thanks for any help you can give me.
Have Fun,
Jim.
