All,
I am having trouble printing on a Novell Network from my SuSE Linux box. I am using SuSE Linux 7.0 Professional edition on an IBM Intel PC 300XL that has a 4Gig HD and 128 Mb RAM. It is configured correctly to work on the network since I am able to TELNET, FTP, etc... to other machines on my company's LAN. I am also able to use it to connect to the Internet. The only problem I have is that I am unable to set it up to use any of my company's printers (HP LaserJet 5Si/5Si

When I try to ping IVITREE it fails to answer, but I
Ping uses IP only, and IVITREE is a NetBEUI/IPX name. That's why ping fails.
know it's there since I can print using my Windows NT Box. Any suggestions on what to do?
The easiest (from Linux point) way is to configure IP interface on the printer. If you don't have access to the printer, the only option is to use IPX, but then you have to install/configure mars/NWE. -Kastus
