KDE Control Center still reports 1.1.2.
How do I know that I am using kde2?
If you were using KDE2 you'd know it. There's a slight resemblance to KDE1 if you happen to use the old window decorations, but it would be impossible to mistake one for the other.
Something is probably wrong with your PATH variable at X startup time - it's finding the old KDE binaries and loading 'startkde' from there.
Follow this link it'll tell ya how to run kde1 and kde2 together. Note that it's for kde2.0. Kde2.0.1 has newer qt stuff so keep that in mind when you are told to use 2.1.1 it should be 2.2.2. http://www.kde.org/kde1-and-kde2.html -- Mark Hounschell markh@compro.net
