Subject: RE: [SLE] StarOffice5.2 and Java/PGP
Thanks Graham ..but it still gives me the message "PGP could not be
executed ,to execute PGP you need a active java environment ,please check
you java installation"
however java seems to work OK on web pages and the installation looks ok.
Ive even tried re-setting up starOffice5.2 and still no joy ..if i run it
from console i get "Could not init javaloader - exception: native
threadpool couldn't be initialzed"
(thats a direct past BTW ..including the spelling mistake).
the file i downloaded was and installed from blackdown was
jdk118_v1-glibc-2.1.2.tar.bz.tar.
<p><p><p><p><p>> > Hi,
Ive just joined the list and ive been reading through the list archives
and a couldnt find if anyone found an answer to the Staroffice/PGP "Java
not installed error".
Did anyone find a solution to the problem?
For StarOffice 5.2 you need the to get the jdk118_v1 file from blackdown.
Not
the JRE ones. As far as I'm aware no other versions work properly.
Install the jdk package into
/usr/lib/jdk118_v1
then create a link
ln -s /usr/lib/jdk118_v1 /usr/lib/java
and all should work.
