Subject: useradd and kmuser
I am trying to create a script that reads from a file containing the names and encrypted passwords of about
100 users I wish to add to a new SuSE install.
The script parses the names and passwords ok, but when I issue the useradd command it fails to
create the user. The problem is that my user names are 5 digit numbers, which useradd calls invalid.
However, using KDE's Kmuser, one can easily add the names. I don't know if Kmuser is a front end
to useradd or uses their own code to add users. But, my question: Is there a way to get useradd to
accept 5 digit numbers as user names? I've tried using sing and double quotes.

Scientific theories, according to Sir Karl Popper, can be "falsified," or proven wrong, by experiment.
Unscientific theories -Marxist dialectical history and Freudian psychology were Popper's favorites-
are formed in such a way that they cannot be falsified by data.
