I just checked out the specs and it looks like your camera uses CompactFlash memory, just like my DC200. This may not be much help, since I have only used it under Windows, but there are options.
Check out http://www.sandisk.com. They invented and make this type of memory. They offer USB and parallel port versions of media adapters, that allow you to access the media independently of the camera. My personal preference has been the PCMCIA adapter, which works great. I can plug the media directly into a laptop, and with the addition of a PCMCIA adapter in my PC (about $40 from Ebay) I can plug it straight into there as well. This type of media spoofs being a hard drive in the Windows world, so you simply use your favourite file manager to drag and drop the files from the media to the local hard drive. With the right drivers, I would imagine it is simply a matter of mounting the media to a folder in your filesystem, just like any other type of removable media. Remember though, only ever format the media in the camera.
I think the speeds go as follows, from slowest to fastest: Serial->Parallel->PCMCIA->USB
I may be wrong about the last two, but either of them is a vastly superior choice to the first two. By the way, Ebay is also a good place to pick up cheap media.
Hope this offered at least a modicum of help, Stuart.

I have just bought a Kodak DC3400 digtal camera. Is there a way to download the pictures in to SuSE?
It comes with a USB and serial connector if that helps. Or is there a better digital camera out there that will work with SuSE?
It seems to use my scanner software that is on win95 to get it's pictures but my scanner won't work on linux at all.
Thanks
