Subject: How to unlock ATAPI CDRW?
Hello Linux folkz,
I'm using IDE ITAPI CDRW emulated as a SCSI device /dev/sr2 to write CDs.
Sometimes especially when I'm writing music CDs it gets locked.
I can't unlatch it with eject -r /dev/sr2 command and SCSI bus just keeps
resetting itself infinitely. So I'm rebooting the whole Linux box just to open
this damned CDRW tray. Isn't it weird?
Does somebody know any method of unlocking IDE CDRW without rebooting the whole
box or I should just go and buy true SCSI CDRW?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.
Alex
