Hi folks , I am trying to set up custom priter pages by modifieng a2ps.cfg and adding additional printers via yast2/printer. This is mostly a trial and error thing.
How on earth do you REMOVE a printer. so far I have had to rm /etc/pritcap and then adding them agien.
Mmmm. Sadly I think that is the only way of removing a printer definition..dont forget to remove all the junk left behind in /var/spool/lpd as well :)
Hmm , never thought of that , I have never looked at that either , is it easy to clean up ?
Maybe this is a job for bicycle repair man... Or maybe Suse would like to put it into Yast2.
Yast 2 set up the printer correctly , while yast text did not , as it would print out 1/4 line of text , spit the page out and then print 1/4 line and spit it out forever. Basicly lprm what was in the spool and upnlugged the printer several time till it stopped printing. That was with text file printing , not even graphics.
Since the only useful thing Yast2 seems to do properly is add printes (and maybe sound if you are lucky).. it would double it's usefulness in one fell swoop if it could remove them as well !
