Subject: is there an effective way to map a lib.so.# to a package from SuSE?

It is often the case that I get an error saying some shared object fild 
can't be found.  I have never found an effective way to identify the 
package such a library comes from.  rpmfind no longer lists SuSE 
packages at all, so that is not helpful.  Any Suggestions?
