Hello Sean, Are you talking about SPECS interface on HP-UX workstations that can work with RMB (HP-UX Basic) and C shelves? Yes it's a commercial product owned now by Agilent. ------------------- living. We had a rather cool piece of software (whose name I can't remember) which allowed you to write nice user interfaces designed to be called from shell scripts.
Basically, you defined your user interface such as a menu or a
dialog prompter etc. in a text file and passed the name of the file to the utility from your shell script and it would display the ui you defined using curses on your xterm or console, returning the result of the user interaction to the calling shell script. It only took a couple of minutes to get something really nice hooked up to your scripts. I think the utility we used was commercial.
I was wondering if there are any such utilities available for
Linux/bash as I have a few scripts I've been working on and would like to make them look really nice and easy to use.
