Hi I run Quake 3 fine on my XF863.3.6, with sounds and everything. I ran the standard install off the CD and the only problem I had was that the resolution settings in XF86config set up by YaST2 did not allow me to run in 1024x768 and I had to add these in myself. I seem to remember I had to set up the MESA_GLX (that's a complete guess as to the name!) to be 'Fullscreen' in my environment. But otherwise it seems fine, if not blisteringly fast and 16bit colour, but then again, that's what we've come to expect from 3dfx. ;-) I have to say that I rate Unreal Tournament as a better game, I find the levels in Q3 so *small*, you run around and know them intimately in about minute. k. I have never been able to get Quake III running on my machine since upgrading to XF86 4.0 (on Red Hat) but now that I've seen the SuSE light, does anyone know if it is possible to run it and if so, what do I need for drivers? (running 3dfx Voodoo3 1000 card)
Thanks,
Spunk
