Hi Spunk, Been in a very similer boat to you :-). Unfortuantly the 2.2.16 kernel does not seem to like using XFree86 4.01 (you have to get XFree86 4.01, its on the suse website). Despite many tries I could not get tdfx direct rendering to work, until I upgraded to the 2.4 latest test kernel. If there is any easier/better way can anyone shed light on it please? With many thanks, Matthew On Wednesday 25 October 2000 17:38, Spunk S. Spunk III wrote:
I have never been able to get Quake III running on my machine since upgrading to XF86 4.0 (on Red Hat) but now that I've seen the SuSE light, does anyone know if it is possible to run it and if so, what do I need for drivers? (running 3dfx Voodoo3 1000 card)
Thanks,
Spunk
