It is difficult to make any explicit recommendations. For the above task, any regular PC today will do the job just fine. If you expect a lot of hard disk activity (Samba or NFS), make sure to go for SCSI disk drives. If you need some redundancy, think of buying a hardware RAID-5 array. 256 or 512 MB of RAM should be more than sufficient. The CPUs could even by simple 400 MHz PIIs - a SPM configuration will give you better responsiveness, especially if you plan to run multiple services on the same box.
