Has anybody succesfully setup RealServer under SuSE 7.0? When I try to run the downloaded binary, I get "command not found". I AM new to the Linux world so minimum flames please.
I havn't run the server myself, but it sounds like you need to put a ./ in front of the binary to get it to execute from the local directory. A common newbie oversight. OR... you need to chmod +x it. AS root, type chmod 777 filename.
If we're teaching newbies, then we should teach them good practice too - and chmod'ing deaemons 777 is not one of them :-) Maybe 755 or 700 would be more conservative, depending on ownership.
