All the excitement of getting SuSE 7 has dissipated since the installation began. Many, many, many "CPIO: BAD MAGIC NUMBER" errors. Had to restart install about 10 times. Hangs during drive partitioning, and formatting. GNOME had to be reinstalled twice before it had the necessary libraries it needed. KDE2 does not impress at all. Networking is very eratic. SaX did not work the first few attempts. Previously used video drivers did not work this time around. And a few other problems I can't remember. And it's only been 2 hours since I got it working right, so there is more to come I'm sure. This all occured on a machine that had no problems at all with SuSE 6.4. I should have waited for a newer version before upgrade. But, I will not stop using SuSE as it is my favorite, and I do not like RedHad getting all the Linux glory.
