Nothing. I used IP addresses and get the same message. It will load
the local web page on port 80, but port 1080 does nothing.
I tried SuSE's database and FAQs.

Try leaving the proxy off ("Direct Connection to Internet").
Are you able to get to ANYTHING with Netscape? Or is it just a particular address that you can't get to? Do you have the SuSE help stuff installed on your box? If so, that would give you a good place to try testing with Netscape... Try http://localhost
Unless your router is also a proxy (squid, maybe) you should not use it as your HTTP proxy.
Other than that, I don't know what to tell you off hand.
HTH, and good luck!

The proxy was off.
What is the port that I should use. I am using the IP router address as the HTTP proxy.

Netscape gives me an error with every connection: connection refused, server may be busy. The firewall is off and ipchains fully open. Ping works, but not netscape. Any ideas?
