Hi SuSE'rs! 2. Kmail is supposed to keep it's file 'addressbook' in ~/kde/share/apps/kmail, I saved my addressbook file from 6.4 and put it there but kmail keeps saying it can't open the file ~/kde/share/apps/kmail/addressbook so I can't use it.
move it to a safe place. Them create a "dumb" addressbook and see where it goes. (find /home/myuserid -name '*address*' )Then, either replace it with the old one or copy and paste the old one to the new one... make sure that the entries format is the same.
3. When playing a MIDI file the program (kmid) pretends it playing, but there's no sound coming out.
Open kmixer and adjust the volume... if you haven't done so.
4. Kppp claims in the start that: This kernel has no ppp support, neither compiled nor via the kernel module loader. But it allows me to configure itself and it query's the modem and I can dial out, it connects but can not log into the network.
Look into /var/log/messages for possible error messages related with pppd... also, have you configured correctly your DNS entries? (/etc/resolv.conf or through YaST or Kppp)
6. Wvdial works fine but I would like to do automatic reconnect instead of the default: --> Idle Seconds = 180, disabling automatic reconnect.
Go to /etc/wvdial.conf and add the line: Auto Reconnect = 1 (delete the one referring to the 180 secs) Hope it helps, Alvaro Novo SuSE 6.4 Kernel 2.2.16 KDE 2 - Beta 5 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
