Hi Bryan, I come from the same background. I recently started to experiment with POSTGRES. I took me a while to understand the basics and to get it working, but it does now. I recommend reading the howto, especially the introduction, great fun, good stuff. There is an X application called pgaccess with wich you can build forms, queries, functions etc. It is not as friendly yet as Access-like environments, but its getting there. hope this helps, jeroen
