Hi, Thanks to everyone who responded to my modem question. With some help, I was able to find and download a driver that supports my modem, but I was having some trouble installing it. I tried to install the binary as a module (I think that's how you're supposed to do it, but I'm not sure) but it was "out of date". So, I compiled the source and tried again. It still didn't work.
So my question is, how do you install a driver?
Maybe you should give a bit more detail than "it does not work" ! This must be the most used pharse in the IT industry! Some details like : what you tried ? what output lead you to believe that "it did not work" ? what exact software you tried to install and what instructions were you following ? That would be a good start :-) CP -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
