Now if you want to see the script I'm willing to email it to you. Please be aware this is my first attempt at getting a firewall up and running so i'm way inexperienced here.
the script to run this I placed in the boot.local, this was done on the advice of a friend. The actuall instruction say to put in the rc.local file, but since I was not able to find it he suggested that location.
If you have any ideas no how to get this script running properly. Until I do I'm stuck using Windows as I don't trust leave my machine like this.
If you just want a firewall/packet filter running you could install the firewalls
package and read /usr/doc/packages/firewalls. configure /etc/rc.config.d/firewall.rc.config
and you will have one running.
If you want to learn how to make your own ipchains firewalls read the
ipchains howto, the ipmasquerading howto, and the trinityos site which is
refered to in the ipchains howto.
