Hi Steven et al! Thanks for your consoling words. I will inspect the Mozilla code for these annoying initial DNS look ups - and I'll report peculiarities to Mozbugs. then you can't really complain. Have you ever compiled the Lizard? It's rather humbling to me to see how much work as gone into this product. I have all kinds of problems with Netscape's browser on Linux. These guys use another version of Linux to do their builds, so SuSE specific problems may go undetected.
And if you really want to be able to complain with impunity about the quality of your browser, start hacking code.
