Hi!
I have just downloaded suse 6.4 eval iso image and tried to install it, but the bootdisks in disks directory dont work - all of them stop right after displaying the first ascii picture (suse.gmbh ...) and than æverything just freezes.
I have tried bootdisk, eide, yast2, laptop even rescue doesnt work.
This is happening on a toshiba laptop sattelite 100CS (suse 6.2 installs and works just fine on it).
THX in advance!
I had this same problem -- it appears that Yast2 isn't ready for the prime time yet -- it froze my display (Abit BE6 TNT Vanta) also. You can get around this problem by entering manual <enter> when the boot: prompt appears. (You have to be fast -- you only have about 5 seconds to do this) Then the good old and trusty Yast1 interface appears.
