Hello, all.
I'd like to be able to use both the trackpad and a USB mouse at the same time (actually mainly I'd like to be able to use whichever one happens to be more convenient without having to go through yast to switch).
Does anyone know a way to set this up?
With XFree86-3.3.6 you have to use gpm: gpm -m /dev/mouse -t ps2 -M -m /dev/usbmouse -t ms -R msc Then modify your /etc/XF86Config Section "Pointer" Protocol "MouseSystems" Device "/dev/gpmdata" EndSection You are going to have to fool around with the mouse types, I do not have a usbmouse or a trackpad (I have a ps2 mouse on /dev/mouse and a trackball on /dev/ttyS0 and it works fine) You will have to put any acceleration or button changes on your gpm command line because xmodmap is not aware of you having two mice. XFree86-4.0.1 supports multiple mice directly. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
