hi all
i've a problem with apache: 1. when i want to allow users to publish personal website
my httpd.conf settings are Userdir public_html
Options None Allowoverride All Order allow, deny Allow from all </directory> when i try to browse with www.domain.com/~user/ ->it generated an error: You don't have permission to access /~user on this server.
Check if your /home/user directory has r and x permissions for others (like 755)
2. i'm doing virtual hosting. so do i put the scripts in another directory. i've tried to put it as
... scriptalias /cgi-bin/ "/usr/local/httpd/cig-bin/newdomain" .... </virtualhost> but when i surf to www.newdomain.com/cgi-bin it returned The requested URL/cgi-bin was not found in this server. all advice/hints/solutions are much apprecitaed
thanks in advance rgds tk
