hi davies,
thanks, it works after i've configured the host fiel.
one ques, how do i set up my dns server & network so
that when i use my web browser it'll point to the
domain.com...coz it'll definitely be cumbersome to
edit the hosts file every time.
thanks again.
cheers
tk

Hi tk
This is because your webbrowser is going to your DNS first and being told that the IP of domain.com is soemwhere on the net. You need to enter domain.com in your /etc/hosts so your browser will read that and get the local IP and not bother to go to the DNS
