I am using Suse 6.3 with Diamond Fireport 4.0 SCSI controller and Yamaha 4x2x6x SCSI cd writer (W,RW,R)
1. question: I can see that scsi controller and yamaha is recognized under boot. But is this configuration fully compatible with Suse Linux?
I'd say yes. I have an Adaptec SCSI adapter and a Yamaha CDRW. Works fine.
2. question: can anyone tell me from where can i download a cd recorder software (like ahead nero, or adaptec easy cd under windows?)
There's a few you could try. Have a look on freshmeat.net. The one which seems most popular is xcdroast, which you'll find at http://www.fh-muenchen.de/home/ze/rz/services/projects/xcdroast/e_overview.h.... Personally I use the "cdrecord" utility from the command line. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
