Put a script in /sbin/init.d that executes the stuff. Link it to /sbin/init.d/rc2.d and call it something like S02whatever. It is important that the fourth character comes after s (as in S02serial) so that it executes after S02serial if that's what you want. Hope this helps Anders

Hello,
Is there an easy way to execute a program on boot up besides /sbin/boot.local. I need for the program to start after the serial ports are initialized either just before or preferably just after going intto runlevel 2. Also, I don't want the program restarted during the shutdown sequence. Any pointers, or suggestions of docs or how-to's would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
